Manaro
Vui is approximately 2
kilometers in diameter. Within the summit
crater of Lake Vui at Ambae, small-scale
volcanic eruptions occured in 2005 from
active vents, resulting in the formation
of a small island within the lake. |
Lake Manaro Vui (foreground) is a very acidic
turquoise-blue lake. Lake Manaro Kessa (background)
is often dry.
